El otoño 2023 en el Hemisferio Norte iniciará el próximo 23 de septiembre a las 00:50 horas tiempo del centro de México (16:50 UT), informa la Secretaría de Protección Civil.

A través de su área de Meteorología, detalla en sus redes sociales a esa hora, que es el momento justo del cambio de verano a otoño, se le conoce como Equinoccio de Otoño.

El otoño es una de las cuatro estaciones del año de las zonas templadas, y de las dos estaciones de la zona intertropical. Sigue al verano y precede al invierno.

Astronómicamente, la estación en la cual generalmente los árboles pierden sus hojas comienza con el equinoccio de otoño y termina con el solsticio de invierno.
